April 18-24, the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer, Redeemer Ministry Corps and Holy Redeemer Health System celebrated Redeemer Week!
Redeemer Week is celebrated as an expression of gratitude from the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer in appreciation for the Holy Redeemer Health System employees and volunteers’ dedication and commitment to the Sister’s vision and mission.
This year’s theme, “Mercy – Hearts of Love in Action”, is inspired by the Holy Year of Mercy announced by Pope Francis. The Year of Mercy began on December 8, 2015 and will conclude on November 20, 2016. This is an extraordinary jubilee that is to have the mercy of God at its center.
To celebrate Redeemer Week, ministries throughout the Health System held prayer services and celebrations. On April 23rd, the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer celebrated their Congregational feast day, Redeemer Day. During Redeemer Day, the Sisters renew their vows and new Redeemer Associates make their commitments.
