This past weekend, RMC Jackie and I made our way to Sea Isle City, NJ for an opportunity to step aside from the usual routines and schedules to relax and reflect on the various seasons of RMC life. On Saturday, we reflected on the beauty of God’s creation and took time to be present to each moment following the advice of John O’Donohue who says, “Take time to see the quiet miracles that seek no attention.” It was a graced filled weekend filled with quiet reflection, sharing, prayer and fun! The theme of seasons seemed to follow us to Ocean City, NJ where we stumbled upon the Annual Flower Show which creatively displayed various flower arrangements depicting the different holiday seasons! We were grateful for the gift of this weekend to reflect and refocus before the conclusion of the RMC year as well as for the beautiful weather we enjoyed while there.
“Let us come alive to the splendor that is all around us. And see the beauty in ordinary things.” -Thomas Merton
